Our promise

Böhmerwald employees act unconditionally according to the following rules for behaviour and work:

1. We only process feathers and down in our works that are certified to not have been obtained through live plucking.
   
   
2. We only cooperate with suppliers who have signed our supplier agreements and practice species appropriate livestock management.
   
   
3. We support long-term transparency and uninterrupted documentation of our supply chain. Our complete down and feather supply chain is certified by a neutral testing institute and controlled on a permanent basis.
   
   
4. We arrange that feather and down orders are only carried out through the standardised BöWa purchasing system. We only accept deliveries when proof of the origin of the goods has been certified on the delivery notes in written form by the supplier.
   
   
5. We only accept goods when delivery notes clearly display their origin in written form.

We love bedclothes of the highest quality and filled with selected down and feathers, the finest of natural hairs or allergy free high-tech fibres. Our products are encased in the best of high quality fabrics and carefully manufactured right down to the tiniest of details. Since the founding of the company in Cham in 1938, we have always been committed to fulfilling these claims to your satisfaction.

For this reason we use the most modern of production processes combined with traditional skills. For the treatment of down and feathers, we use special soft, lime and chlorine free water taken from our own (deep) well. Our production process is regulated by a number of quality controls to make sure that you have lasting enjoyment with our product.
